Book a Librarian – one-on-one consultations for researchers

CSU Researchers can book a one-on-one consultation with a librarian to develop their research information skills. Five modules covering a range of research competencies are on offer. Researchers can choose to do one or more of the modules. This service is available to CSU researchers located on campus or off campus. Off campus consultations will be delivered by a combination of phone and online computing applications.

Book a Librarian is also available to CSU researchers located offshore. On campus Book a Librarian consultations will be delivered at a time mutually suitable for both the researcher and Librarian, and can be delivered in the researcher’s office, the Library or any other convenient location.

Information about the service and a booking form are available on the Library’s Research Support page. Please contact Katherine (pictured) if you would like any more information about Book a Librarian. Her telephone number is 0269332130 or email her by clicking on the link for her name.

  1. Is this service available to general staff involved in research, such as educational designers?

  2. Absolutely. Whether you are academic or general staff if you need training in any area of our library service whether it be catalogues, databases, procite etc then we can assist you. You can send in a request form through book a librarian or, if you would like to discuss your needs further, you can contact me on 69332130. It does not matter which campus you are situated on we offer the same service to all staff. Regards Katherine

Yes research students are eligible to utilise book a librarian. If you are an on campus student you can organise a one on one session with a librarian. If you are off campus we can set up a brigit session with you which means that you can see the trainers computer whilst we are training you.
    Regards Katherine
