2007 Booker Prize – long list

The 2007 Man Booker Literary prize judges released their long list of 13 titles today. The short list will be announced on 6 September and the winner on 16 October. Unexpectedly, the long list does not include recent works by major writers like J.M. Coetzee, Graham Swift, Michael Ondaatje, Doris Lessing or Thomas Keneally. The longlist titles are:
