2007 E-learning Benchmarking Project : E-learning for mature aged learners

Recent research has revealed that e-learning has been of great benefit for mature aged learners in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) environment.

Over 1,000 students participated in the study, of which there were two major findings. The findings were that mature aged students in the e-learning environment found increased confidence and skills in using technology -which then positively affected their work life and other areas of life, and that the flexibility of e-learning was seen as a very important feature of the training.
