International Happiness Day

Today, Thursday the 10th of July, is International Happiness Day. “Happiness is a choice that is available to everyone. This is the message of International Happiness Day, which takes place on July 10, 2008. Initiated by Liberto Pereda Romera of Barcelona, Spain, International Happiness Day is a day in which people from all over the world intentionally choose to be happy while inspiring the happiness of others through simple acts of kindness, expressions of joy, gratitude, optimism, and forgiveness.” [Text from the International Happiness Day press release.] The International Happiness Day website asks: “What if one million people from all over the planet celebrated happiness on the same day?
