Before the update
If you’re a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) student or currently working on a literature or systematic review, take these steps to ensure your saved search alerts are carried over.
Your saved articles, eBook records, and searches in MyEBSCO Folders will automatically migrate. However, search alerts will not.
How to save search alerts before 2 July
- Log in to any EBSCO database via the Library’s A–Z Databases page
- Sign in to your MyEBSCO account
- In your folder, go to Search Alerts
For each alert:
- Click Retrieve Alert
- Scroll to Search History and click Rerun Search
- Choose Save Searches/Alerts
- Give it a name (include the word “alert”)
- Select Saved Search (permanent), then click Save
- Repeat for each alert you want to preserve
If you forget or don’t have time to save your search alerts, that’s okay — you’ll be able to recreate them in the new interface.
