OA Week 2025, October 20-26

This Open Access Week we are rolling out the red (card) carpet to celebrate our Open Access Champions; the Charles Sturt researchers who have published open access this year under the Library’s OA publishing agreements. Last week we sent the corresponding authors from these articles a Red (Recognising Excellence Daily) Card to thank them for supporting Charles Sturt University’s commitment to open scholarship and access to quality education.
Between January and September 2025 we saw 114 corresponding authors have 178 journal articles accepted across 135 different journals – a mammoth achievement!
Let’s thank them again here and take a moment to look at the extraordinary work that has been produced. From AI-powered healthcare to cyber-security to climate resilience to cultural revival and so much more, our Charles Sturt researchers are at the forefront of the ideas shaping our world today.
Check out the list of articles published using our Read and Publish agreements so far this year. Read them, cite them and share them widely. Do it all with no paywalls! And get ready to scroll, because it’s a long, long list!
