Banned Books Week- Celebrate the Freedom to Read!

Banned Books Week celebrates the freedom to read and the importance of open access to information and literature despite the nature of its content.
This annual event was started in the USA in protest to the attempts to ban controversial books and to draw attention to the dangers of censorship and the importance of freedom of expression.
