Welcome! Sign up now for workshops

Hey there, future Charles Sturt graduate! A big welcome to all new students and our returners! Here in the Library, we’re kicking off 2024 and the new session with Library Workshops. This session, we’re offering both online and face-to-face sessions across many of our campuses.

Remember, you don’t need to wait for a workshop; we’re here to help anytime. Visit your nearest campus, contact us via the Library chat, call, send us an email, or book an appointment.

So, is a Library workshop right for you? Well, if you need help with your textbooks or online readings; want to level up your search skills for assessments; are getting started with EndNote; or just want to feel more prepared for the session ahead, then yes! A Library Workshop is for you!

Our workshops for this session kicked off on Thursday 15th February and will continue through to Thursday 28th March. We cover the full range of Library services available to students, as well as the nuts and bolts of using Library databases and resources effectively.

This session we’re offering the following workshops:

  • Online Library 101
  • Using eBooks
  • Finding Journal Articles
  • Using Library Databases
  • Advanced Database Searching
  • Discover EndNote
  • Face to face Library 101 sessions at Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Port Macquarie, and Wagga Wagga campuses.

You can register for a live session now or view recordings of past workshops on our website.

If registering for the Discover EndNote workshop, check out the new Discover EndNote modules. You can complete the self-paced modules and learn the basics to set yourself up in EndNote, then learn about more detailed features in the Workshop.

Here’s what past attendees have said:

“Basic, easy to understand info and facts to get started. Brilliant.”

“Knowing I can reach out to the Library staff if I get stuck any time gives me confidence.”

“The processes were clearly explained and the services available too are amazing. I feel the library and all the online elements seem a little less daunting after this.”

If you still have questions, reach out to us on phone or chat!
