Our Dubbo Librarian, Martin Peffer, was excited to meet his Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove, AK, MC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, and Her Excellency Lady Cosgrove at CSU Dubbo on Friday the 28th of August.
The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove toured Dubbo campus prior to meeting with students and staff in Dubbo campus Library to talk about CSU’s role in Indigenous education.

CSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Andrew Vann said “we are delighted that they have time in their busy schedule to visit the campus, meet students and staff, and learn about our Indigenous Education Strategy as well as the courses and graduates that are making a significant difference to the communities of regional Australia.”

CSU’s School for Indigenous Studies is located at the Dubbo campus. Speaking with WIN News Central West the Governor-General praised CSU, saying “it’s a great University. This is a hub for people from all up and down the catchment area for CSU to come here to do Indigenous Studies”.
