Free Software for Staff and Students at CSU

Did you know that as a CSU student, you have access to a range of Software Packages to download, install and use on your own computer and/or device?

Here are just a few of the applications and software packages on offer:

Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft Office 365 allows you to install the Microsoft Office Suite (that’s Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Onenote) for free on up to 5 PCs or Macs, as well as Office apps on other mobile devices including Android, Apple and Windows devices.
There are many resources provided as PDF files at CSU, so Adobe Reader is a particularly important piece to have in your software arsenal. It’s a free PDF viewer which opens and interacts with all PDF content, including forms and multimedia.
Keeping your computer safe is so important when accessing the internet and transferring files between computers, so it’s vital to have up-to-date Antivirus software. Sophos Antivirus software monitors and scans for threats with virus-like activity, and treats suspicious activity by cleaning or deleting infected files.
Endnote is a bibliographic citation program for Macs or PCs that can be used to manage your references. It allows you to insert citations into MS Word documents, construct reference lists and bibliographies in a range of referencing styles, as well as storing and annotating documents.

Additionally, there are CSU Student Discounts on a variety of IT purchases, such as software, new computers, and other personal devices.
